Who are we?

As you probably know we are a new VA for the Infinite Flight Community
We want to recreate the real-world traffic of condor as good as possible, therefore we want to do some things a little different than other VAs or VOs out there.
Together with our members,s we choose the region and airports of the week. All Routes to these airports are eligible for multipliers. With this and some interactive things we want them to feel like an important part of our VA. Another thing which stands out is that all of our members are eligible to fly up to 2 charter flights a month from any of our bases to an airport of their choice. With this unique feature, we recreate an aspect of the real-world Condor.
To support the bonds within our community we are providing at least one event per week.
Our most important thing is our community. We want to provide a safe environment for them and any new members. For communication and events, we chose Discord.
Within our Discord channel members can ask any question they might have about a flight, airport or operation.

Our goal is to create the perfect vacation for everyone beginning with the flight. We strive to become one of the best charter airlines in the virtual aviation industry.
Therefore we need you and your passion for aviation as the core of our VA to reach our goals.

Our requirements.

You must meet the following requirements before applying as a pilot.

    • Must have a valid Infinite Flight Community account
    • Must be at least grade 3
    • Must have a valid Infinite Flight Pro Subscription
    • Must be at least 13 years of age or above
    • Must have at least 100 hours of total flight experience within Infinite Flight
    • Should have landed at least 20 times successfully within the last 90 days
    • Must have a good standing with the IFVARB and IFC.

The last few years have been a rollercoaster of events. It was a great pleasure to set this new virtual airline up for the growing Infinite Flight community.

Who is Condor?

Condor has more than 66 years of experience in touristic flights.
You might not know Condor yet so you will find a short history below.

1955	Condor was founded as "Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH" by Lufthansa and some other german companies on December 21st.
1956	The first flight took off on March 29th to the "Holy Land". Typical vacation destinations such as Majorca or Tenerife were added to the schedule.
1960's	In 1960 Lufthansa takes over the Deutsche Flugdienst. A year later Deutsche Flugdienst and Condor Luftreederei merged to form our beloved Condor Flugdienst GmbH. One decade after the first flight, Condor became Germany's most important tourism airline. The first long-haul flights departed in 1966 to Thailand, Ceylon, Kenya and the Dominican Republic.
1970's	A Boeing 747-200 entered the fleet in 1971 and Condor became the first leisure airline to operate the queen of the skies. By 1973 Condor became the world's leading vacation airline.
1980's	Since 1989 Condor has been selling seats directly to customers and is not flying for charter only.
1990's	To modernize the fleet, Condor took delivery of their first iconic Boeing 757 and 767 jets. By 1995 Condor merged with several touristic companies. In 1997 Condor and Neckermann Travel formed C&N Touristic.
2000's	In 2002 C&N Touristic acquired Thomas Cook to form the Thomas Cook AG. For 2 Years, Condor was transformed into Thomas Cook powered by Condor. Luckily they rebranded to Condor and started offering discount long-haul flights by 2004. In 2006 Condor celebrated its 50's Birthday.
2010's	By 2013 Condor merged with Thomas Cook Airlines UK, Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium to form the Thomas Cook Group Airline. All these airlines became united by a common symbol: The Sunny Heart. The 60's anniversary was celebrated in 2016. Condor became Germany's most popular airline for the fourth time in a row in 2019.
2020's	In 2020 long-haul services from Munich were resumed and Condor announced the order of new Airbus A330-900 aircraft to replace the older Boeing 767. The new brand identity was presented in 2022. Condor is vacation - and vacation is striped.
